Research Assistant at Imperial College London

Imperial College London is delighted to offer a postdoctoral researcher position in immunology. The funding allows successful candidate to work for two years. The deadline for applying is October 14, 2018.

Applications are welcomed for a Research Associate role in the Immunotherapy Section of the Karadimitris Lab, to carry out research in the Centre for Haematology at Imperial College London. This is a two-year post with the prospect of a further one-year extension, subject to funding. The post is funded by the Imperial NIHR Biomedical Research Centre to develop iNKT cell-based immunotherapeutic approaches for multiple myeloma, an incurable blood cancer.

The project is led by Professor Tassos Karadimitris You will join a group of 2-3 post-docs working on the development and validation of novel, including chimaeric, antigen receptor-based approaches for cancer and chronic viral infections.

You should hold a MSc/MRes/PhD, or equivalent, in immunology or similar discipline. Experience and skills in cellular and molecular immunology and relevant techniques are essential, including in the field of chimaeric antigen receptor (CAR) design, CAR-T cell manufacturing processes as well as in CAR-relevant in vitro and in vivo assays You will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to solve problems, and the ability to work both on your own initiative and as a member of a team.

This is a full-time, fixed-term post for two years.
