Postdoc Position at University of Cambridge

University of Cambridge is pleased to invite applicants to apply for a new opening postdoctoral position in biochemistry. The funds for this fellowship are available for 6 months. Applicants should apply before October 30, 2018.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 6 months in the first instance.

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on a project focusing on the development of new peptide and protein based biomaterials, supervised by Professor Tuomas Knowles. The aim of the project is to use microfluidic techniques to structure natural and artificial proteins and peptides into micro-scale functional structures, including micro-capsules, microgels, and shells for the storage and release of active ingredients including therapeutic molecules.

Applicants should have demonstrated expertise in peptide materials science. Candidates are expected to have a strong publication record as evidence of relevant professional experience.

The successful candidate will hold, or should be about to obtain, a PhD in a relevant discipline (Biochemistry, Chemistry, Protein Science).
