Postdoc Position at University of Cambridge

University of Cambridge is pleased to invite applicants to apply for a new opening postdoctoral associate position in mathematics. This fellowship is last for 6 months and posible to extend. Applicants should apply before October 30, 2018.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 6 months in the first instance.

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on the development of theoretical approaches to understanding and quantifying the effects of protein aggregation in vivo and in vitro. The project will be hosted jointly in the Centre for Misfolding Diseases in Cambridge which brings together the Dobson, Vendruscolo and Knowles research groups, and the group of Professor Mahadevan at Harvard University in the US. The position will involve frequent travel between Cambridge UK, and Harvard University.

Applicants should have demonstrated expertise in statistical mechanics. Candidates are expected to have a strong publication record as evidence of relevant professional experience.

The successful candidate will hold, or should be about to obtain, a PhD in a relevant discipline (Physical or Theoretical Chemistry or Physics).
