Postdoc Research Fellow in Medicine

Louisiana State University is pleased to invite applicants to apply for postdoc funding in medicine. Citizens of any country are eligible to apply. The deadline for applying is June 15, 2015.

- The Postdoctoral Researcher(s) will conduct research on the animal models of lung inflammation under the supervision of Dr. Yogesh Saini, Assistant Professor, Department of Comparative Biomedical Sciences in the School of Veterinary Medicine at Louisiana State University.
- The Postdoctoral Researcher will conduct cell culture, western blotting, genotyping, RT-PCR, immunoprecipitation, flow cytometry, cytokine estimation, confocal microscopy, rodent animal handling and survival surgeries.
Application Requirements
- Ph.D or equivalent in Biomedical Sciences; DVM is acceptable with ability to perform the duties listed; lab experience with significant experience with cell culture, molecular biology [ PCR, RT-PCR, Electrophoresis (protein, DNA and RNA), Protein, RNA and DNA isolation ], and cell biology techniques.
- Previous experience with rodent handling and models of lung inflammation.
- Special Requirements: Must be authorized to work in the United States; must be able to perform laboratory physical activities limited to research work including transporting animals on carts and working in animal facility with nasal mask on; due to the nature of the position and/or position responsibilities this position shall be subject to drug/alcohol testing in accordance with University Policy Statement 67.
