Undergraduate Scholarships at National University of Singapore

National University of Singapore is delighted to offer undergraduate scholarship. This scholarship is available for all students around the world. The deadline for applying is June 30, 2015.

UTown scholarships which are available to NUS undergraduate students residing in UTown's residential colleges include
- Elaine Low Scholarship: Ms Elaine Low, the daughter of Dato Low Tuck Kwong, is the Head of Business Development of PT Bayan Resources, Tbk. The Elaine Low Scholarship is open to all full-time NUS undergraduate students residing in NUS University Town with preference given to students residing at Residential College 4.

- Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple Scholarship at UTown: Built since 1884, the Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple has a long history of philanthropy. They reach out to the needy in society through their gifts to charities, medical and educational projects. The Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple made a gift to UTown to establish the Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple Scholarship.

- NUSS – Della Seng Gee UTown Scholarship: Both Dr Della Lee and Dr Lee Seng Gee are well known for their charitable and philanthropic contributions towards education, the underprivileged and the arts.

- Steve Appleton-Micron Scholarship: To honour the life and contributions of the late Mr. Steve Appleton, CEO of Micron Technology; Micron Foundation establishes a named scholarship at UTown with a gift. Micron Technology, Inc. is one of the world's leading providers of advanced semiconductor solutions and systems. The recipient must possess outstanding academic results and exhibit qualities as an "all-rounder".

- Tembusu Partners Scholarship: Tembusu Partners scholarships are open to full-time NUS undergraduate students residing at Tembusu College.

- The Ngee Ann Kongsi Scholarship: The Ngee Ann Kongsi, a philanthropic foundation, has been actively involved in educational, cultural and welfare services since 1845. Founded by a group of prominent Teochews, the Kongsi's current activities are carried out regardless of ethnicity, language, religion and social status.

- Tin Ka Ping Foundation Scholarship: Founded in 1982 in Hong Kong, The Tin Ka Ping Foundation is a charitable organisation which aims to promote social welfare and charitable work and has a special interest in education.
The scholarship is valued at $ 10,000 annually and is bond-free. They made a donation to set up an endowed NUSS – Della Seng Gee UTown Scholarship to benefit the students residing at any of the colleges at University Town.
Application Requirements
Applicants must
- Be full-time NUS undergraduate students in the Academic Year 2015/2016.
- For Steve Appleton-Micron Scholarship, be full-time NUS full-time Engineering students in their third (3rd) and fourth (4th) year of undergraduate studies in electrical, computer, mechanical or chemical engineering with a specialization in Semiconductor manufacturing, design or related activities in the Academic Year 2015/2016.
- For Tembusu Partners Scholarship, have completed at least 2 semesters of undergraduate studies and achieved a minimum CAP of 3.5.
- Preferably be from ASEAN and People's Republic of China (PRC) (Elaine Low Scholarship); be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents (Steve Appleton-Micron Scholarship and Ngee Ann Kongsi Scholarship) and be Citizens from People's Republic of China (PRC) (Tin Ka Ping Foundation Scholarship).
- Be residing at Residential College 4; be residing at College of Alice Peter Tan, Cinnamon College (USP), Residential College 4 or Tembusu College (Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple Scholarship, NUSS – Della Seng Gee UTown Scholarship, Steve Appleton-Micron Scholarship, Ngee Ann Kongsi Scholarship and Tin Ka Ping Foundation Scholarship); be residing at Tembusu College (Tembusu Partners Scholarship).
- Have strong leadership qualities and potential.
- Have outstanding extra-curricular activities records, and.
- Have GCE A levels, Diploma from a Polytechnic in Singapore or equivalent qualifications (e.g. International Baccalaureate)

The Micron Foundation seeks to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics education through support to educators, students and communities worldwide.

Selection Criteria: The scholarship is awarded on the basis of competition among eligible candidates. All candidates interviewed may be considered for all University Town (UTown) scholarships, where eligible.
