Research Position in Law

Birkbeck is offering research position in law. The duration of this scholarship is up to 3 years. To be eligible, candidates must be European students. Applicants should apply before April 27, 2015.

Birkbeck School of Law will award two fully funded Birkbeck Anniversary Scholarships offered by the College to mark the 190th anniversary of its foundation. The competition for this award will be decided on the basis of academic merit.
Two fully funded studentships are available with a fee waiver covering the standard Birkbeck PhD fee and an annual stipend at Research Council rates inclusive of London Weighting.
Scholarships will be tenable for up to three years (subject to satisfactory academic progress) for full-time students.
Application Requirements
Anniversary studentships are open to Home/EU and International students who have been offered a MPhil/PhD place within the School of Law starting in the 2015/16 academic year.

Applicants should have at least a 2:1 degree or equivalent in law/criminology and an interest in degree-level teaching, perhaps with a view to an academic career.
