Postdoctoral opportunities in Neuroscience

Linköping University is delighted to offer postdoc fellowship in neuroscience. All students regardless of citizenship are eligible to apply. The deadline for applying is March 27, 2015.

The group, which is led by Professor Anders Fridberger, uses a unique custom-designed rapid imaging technique and laser interferometry to study how the sensory cells of the inner ear convert sound into electrical signals. Experiments are performed in isolated preparations of the mouse and guinea pig cochlea and often involve electrophysiological measurements in addition to imaging and laser interferometry. We also study how loud sounds alter sound processing in the inner ear and many of our projects therefore have clinical interest.

Application Requirements
- We are looking for highly motivated people who wish to develop their own projects.
- A Ph.D. in experimental biophysics, neurophysiology or bioengineering is required, and if you enjoy using advanced optical and computational methods for biological studies, you will feel right at home.
