We are interested in the mechanisms by which prenatal events affect the development of the fetus and its postnatal health. In particular, we focus on immune endocrine pathways triggered by mid gestational stress challenges and its effect on the immune systems of the developing offspring. We are also interested in the susceptibility towards infection during pregnancy. In our research we employ animal models (mice), cellular and molecular biology techniques. The Laboratory for Experimental Feto-maternal Medicine offers an excellent research infrastructure and working conditions in a dynamic, collaborative, and international research environment. We have access to excellent research core units on campus. The working language of the lab is English.
