PhD Position in Philosophy

University of Leicester is seeking a highly motivated PhD student with an interest in philosophy. The duration of this scholarship is 3 years. To be eligible, candidates must hold European citizenship. Applicants should apply before April 19, 2015.

The Department of Politics and International Relations is pleased to offer a fully-funded studentship for September 2015 entry to its Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme.
This studentship will pay full-time University UK/EU tuition fees for three years and include an annual stipend of £ 14,057. The successful applicant will also have access to a Research Training Support Grant worth £ 750 each year to help cover costs associated with their research work.
This studentship is awarded for a period of three years.
Application Requirements

- First class or upper second class undergraduate degree or an equivalent overseas qualification in a relevant subject (or show evidence of achieving this by September 2015).
- Standard English language requirements-Available to suitable UK/EU and International (i.e., outside the EU) applicants please note though that the award covers tuition fees at the UK/EU rate only; international applicants (and those not eligible to pay UK/EU tuition fees) must demonstrate at the time of their application that they can fund the difference in tuition fee rates.
- Available for full-time registration only.
- Available to new applicants only i.e., existing PhD students are not eligible for this studentship.
- Applicants must be able to start in September 2015
