Microsoft PhD Scholarship in Computer Science

University of Edinburgh is offering PhD position in computer science. To be eligible, candidates must hold European citizenship. The deadline for applying is March 13, 2015.

We are seeking to award a Microsoft PhD Scholarship on the topic of Vision as Inverse Graphics. The PhD scholarship is available to UK/EU students and is fully funded for three years. The project will be supervised by Prof Chris Williams the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh, in collaboration with Dr Pushmeet Kohli at Microsoft Research Cambridge. The project involves training computer vision methods for scene understanding based on data generated by a stochastic scene generator and rendered with computer graphics.
