Master Scholarships in Chemistry at Victoria University of Wellington

Applicants are invited to apply for master scholarship in chemistry at Victoria University of Wellington. This scholarship is available for all students around the world. There is no application deadline. Positions will be filled as soon as possible.

The Ferrier Research Institute is a leading applied, organic chemistry capability at Victoria University of Wellington. We have an exciting opportunity to undertake research towards an MSc qualification. The research is affiliated with a leading New Zealand manufacturing company and focuses on unique mechanisms to deliver nutrients to livestock. Candidates with a relevant chemistry/engineering degree who have an interest in materials science and analytical organic chemistries are eligible.
- Stipend of NZ$ 15,000 plus fees of upto NZ$ 8,000.
- The recipient will be responsible for paying the student levy and for international insurance, if applicable. International students will be responsible for the difference between the domestic and international student fees. One scholarship is to be awarded for one year.
Application Requirements
- Candidates who are motivated, self-starters, have an excellent academic record and who are keen to make a difference to the science and technology utilised by a major contributor to the New Zealand manufacturing sector are urged to apply.
- Applicants will be expected to have completed a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree Part 1 demonstrating academic achievement equivalent to a First-Class Honours degree from a New Zealand University.

Reference statements should be submitted directly to the Scholarships Office by the referees. This may be by email only if they are sent from a verifiable institutional email address. Scholarship applicants must contact directly the School in which they wish to enrol so that their research proposal and the feasibility of supervision can be assessed. Enrolling as a Master's student and applying for a a Master's Scholarship are two separate processes. The holding of Master's Scholarship is conditional upon the scholarship recipient gaining enrolment as a Master's student.
