Postdoc Fellow at German Cancer Research Center

German Cancer Research Center is seeking a highly motivated postdoc student with an interest in biology. The duration of this scholarship is 1 year. Citizens of any country are eligible to apply. The deadline for applying is April 07, 2015.

We are searching for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to investigate stem/stromal cell function and microenvironmental regulation in the context of childhood obesity or psychosocial stress. The approach involves mouse models of metabolic/neurogenic stress, tissue imaging, FACS and transplantation assays. In addition, the researcher will employ primary cell co-culture and microfluidics methods to investigate cell interactions in the stem cell microenvironment.

The position is limited for 1 year with the possibility of extension. The position can in principle be part-time.

Application Requirements
- A PhD degree, experience with rodent models and some of the above methodologies is required.
- Experience with in vivo stem cell work, metabolic regulation or neurogenic stress models, and single cell analysis would be advantageous.
