PhD Studentship in Biology

Applicants are invited to apply for PhD scholarship in biology at Danish Cancer Society Research Center. All students regardless of citizenship are eligible to apply. The deadline for applying is March 31, 2015.

Exciting opportunities for PhD scholarships are open in an international environment with a strong record in generating new discoveries within the field of cancer biology. You will work in the laboratories headed by Professor Marja Jäättelä (MJ), Professor Francesco Cecconi (FC), or Professor Jiri Bartek (JB) and will participate in interesting and highly cancer-relevant projects within a newly established Center of Excellence, Center for Autophagy, Recycling and Disease (CARD), funded by the Danish National Research Foundation.

The available PhD programs are based on individual research projects that last usually 3 years, working with a specific supervisor in one of the 3 laboratories. Applicants are specifically matched with a principle investigator based on their research interests and background.

Application Requirements
- Experience with basic laboratory methods in molecular and cellular biology.
- Fluent written and oral communication in English.
- High level of motivation.
- Ability to work in a team
