Postdoctoral opportunities at Stanford University

The laboratory of Dr. Daniel Rubin at Stanford Medical School in the Departments of Radiology and Medicine (Biomedical Informatics Research) is seeking highly motivated investigators to develop and study novel approaches in data-driven biomedical research to discover new molecular and imaging bio markers to revolutionize health and health-care. We are integrating imaging and molecular phenotypes and applying cutting-edge machine learning methods to define subtypes of disease that correlate with survival and that will enable personalizing care. Post-doctoral fellowships are fully funded.

Application Requirements
Ideal candidates will have an M.D. and/or Ph.D with a strong background in bioinformatics, bio statistics/machine learning, and genomics, with an interest in or experience in imaging, and a great publication record. Excellent communication and programming skills, strong problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and the ability to develop algorithms and new software tools are required. A background in computation,molecular biology or medicine, and imaging will be desirable. Prior experience with molecular data analysis, micro array data, and text-mining,will be a plus. Applicants must possess good communication skills and be fluent in both spoken and written English. This exciting work will be guided by multidisciplinary collaborations with top scientists in cancer and imaging research at Stanford and elsewhere.
