PhD Scholarship in Criminology and Sociology of Law

University of Oslo has an opening PhD position in law. The duration of this scholarship is 3 years to 4 years. The funding is only available for Norwegian students. Applicants should apply before March 02, 2015.

1-2 positions as PhD Research Fellow (SKO 1017) are available at the Department of Criminology and Sociology of Law. The Department is the leading educational and research institution in criminology and sociology of law in Norway.

The purpose of the Fellowship is research training leading to the successful completion of a PhD degree. The selected candidates will automatically be admitted to the faculty ’s PhD programme. The Fellowship period may be reduced within the framework of pertaining regulations based on previously held research fellowship positions.

The PhD fellowships include.

- Salary level 50-57 (429 700, - 482 800, - NOK per year).

The fellowships are for a period of up to 4 years, with teaching constituting 25 % of the workload. Alternatively, they are for 3 years without any teaching duties.

Application Requirements
The candidates must hold a masters degree in criminology or sociology of law, or in an equivalent field. A 4-year Fellowship requires the candidate to meet current teaching needs at the Department.

- Up to 3 publications. If the publications are written by more than one author, a declaration of authorship and of the contribution of the applicant should be submitted.
- A list of up to 3 references. (Name, relation to candidate, e-mail address and telephone number)
