Canon Collins Masters Scholarships for African

Canon Collins Trust is offering many master scholarships for students study in UK. The deadline for applying this position is on February 26, 2015. 

The Canon Collins Trust Scholarships Programme aims to help build the human resources necessary for economic, social and cultural development in the southern African region and to develop an educated and skilled workforce that can benefit the wider community.

The application process for scholarships to study Masters courses in the UK beginning in September 2015 is now open. The Canon Collins Trust does not currently fund PhD study in the UK; however it acts as a nominating agency for Commonwealth Scholarships.

Full tuition fees, a monthly stipend, a return economy flight, a settling-in allowance and other support whilst in the UK.

Application Requirements
To apply for a scholarship under this programme you must:
-  Be a national of, or have refugee status, in one of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
- Be normally resident in southern Africa.
- Be in possession of a good first degree (minimum second class, upper division or equivalent) or about to graduate in the year of application.
- Be applying for a full-time one-year taught masters course at one of the participating universities.
- Have at least 2 years work experience in a relevant field

Please note that applicants will be expected to show their commitment to the development of their country and region.

How to apply?
Applicants must apply to their chosen universities separately and scholarship awards are conditional on the applicant being offered a place at the relevant university. The Trust is only accepting online applications for this scheme.

The first step to take the first time you visit the Online Application Portal via the official website (link to it is below) is to create an application. This will require you to register and fill out some details about yourself. If you are a returning applicant, you will need to log in to access any existing work you have done on the application site. This is so your work is kept private to you.
