University of Oslo is offering a PhD scholarship. The duration of this scholarship is 4 years. The deadline for applying this position is on February 15, 2015.

University of Oslo is offering two PhD research fellowships starting from 1st August 2015 in the Faculty of Theology. The appointment is for a period of 4 years. 75 percent of the position is allocated to the candidates research training, while 25 percent is allocated to required duties. The required duties comprise teaching, research assistance, etc..

The purpose of the PhD Research Fellowship is research training leading to the successful completion of a doctoral dissertation (monograph or article-based) to be defended at a public defense for the doctoral degree. The successful candidate will be automatically accepted to the research-training program (PhD-program) at the Faculty of Theology.

Application Requirements
A Cand.theol.-degree, a Master 's degree from one of the study programs at the Faculty of Theology, or a corresponding type of degree or education. The Faculty conducts research in Biblical studies, church history, systematic theology, and diaconal, interreligious and gender studies.

The successful applicant must have a project that will contribute to the further development of one or more of these research areas. Potential applicants are encouraged to contact the relevant academic staff to get feedback on the development of the project.
